Saturday 30 June 2012

Had a good time at the summer festival today, thankfully the weather was good, although it did get blowy towards the end, so again I had to hold on to things to stop them blowing away.  Tomorrow is Wimborne Market, and an early start too, eeeek!  Hoping it will be a productive day and some of my cards sell.  This is one of the cards that will be available for sale:
Its another one using a stamp from Posy Punch for the flowers, stamped using Perfect Plum ink.  I like these stamps, they are easy to cut round :)
The sentiment is from Happiest Birthday Wishes, again.  I do like this set, lots of birthday sentiments to choose from, which is good.
Plum tuckered out I am from all that fresh air today, don't know if I will last out til Casulty (if it is on this evening, at the moment its the tennis with Andy Murray).  So it will probably be an early night for me tonight, ready for an early morning tomorrow.  Have a good evening all :)

Friday 29 June 2012

Morning all :)  Got a busy day today, lots happening.  Preparing for a Summer Festival tomorrow and praying that the weather picks up.  The festival is at Sheiling School, in Ringwood, its free and open to one and all, so pop on down.  Also this weekend, George is off to cadet camp and we still have a few bits to pick up for him.  Its raining out there (yuk) and dark and horrid, where has our summer gone?  So I thought today's card should be bright and sunny :)
The stamped flowers are from the hostess stamp set, Posy Punch, which is a fab set to get with your hostess pounds.  They were stamped using Calypso Coral, which I think is one of my favourite colours, very in at the moment.
The sentiment is from Happiest Birthday Wishes again (I do love that stamp set), another hostess stamp set in the main catalogue.

Its nearly the end of the month, get your order in by the end of June for reduced rate of £1.50 shipping, or free if you come and collect from me :)

Wish me luck going out in that wild and windy weather today.  Hope you all have a good day and see you soon.

Thursday 28 June 2012

Morning :)  Another day of card making today and possibly finishing off a quilt I am making too, if I get time.  Today's card is pink themed, my favourite colour :)

Again I used Vintage Wallpaper to emboss the card (spritzed with shimmer mist) and used a stamp from Mixed Bunch for the flower with a vintage feel to it (had to cut it out as the punch is on my order list)
I finished it off with a sentiment from the hostess stamp set, Happiest Birthday Wishes.
I'll be busy this weekend, got a Summer Fair on Saturday (more details tomorrow) and have booked a table at Wimborne Market on Sunday.  First time there so very interested to see how it goes, hopefully if it goes well, I could make it a more regular thing.
Right, thats it for now, have a good day everyone :)

Wednesday 27 June 2012

All change today, by now we would have been well on our way to a day out, but it was cancelled at the last minute, so have left the boy in bed to sleep, as that is the teenager's way :) and I am going to make a start on an order for five birthday cards.  But before I start, I wanted to share with you one of the swaps that I got at training a few weeks ago from my lovely SU! sister, Anna
I love this card, it is beautiful and inspired, with the use of the Delicate Doilies stamp set along with the punch from the summer mini (which is definitely in my next order!)
The centre pattern has been embellished with Dazzling Diamonds glittter and finishes off the card well.  Thank you Anna for a beautiful card :)

Off I go to get inspired for these five cards I am making.  Hope you all have a good day and see you again soon.

Tuesday 26 June 2012

Afternoon, hope you're all having a good day today.  We are having a quiet one today, catching up on paperwork and making a few cards to put on Etsy :)  Here is one of the cards I made today:

I wanted to reacquaint myself with my favourite embossing folder, Vintage Wallpaper, and my favourite stamp set, Vintage Vogue.  I love the combination of black and red, they work so well together.
I stamped the image using Perfect Plum ink and spritzed the black card with a Shimmer Mist spray.

and finished it off with a lovely red ribbon tied in a bow.

Not long til the end of the month and the dsp offer ending :(  I will be putting in an order at the end of the week, so please message me with anything you would like to order.  Remember also that till the end of the month I am offering a flat rate of £1.50 for orders, or free if you can come collect it from me :)  I look forward to hearing from you.

Monday 25 June 2012

Haven't had much chance to sit down today, was called into work at short notice to cover sickness and that means walking to and from town.  No sooner had I got home than I had to go back out again to get cat food, otherwise they would have probably lynched me :D  So here I am, late again blogging, but better late than never, eh? :)

This card is one that we made at training at Sarah-Jane's a few weeks back :)
It uses the stamp set, Mixed Bunch, which is in the Summer Mini catalogue, linkie here, and the fabulous matching punch, which is on my next order :)  We used Baker's Twine again, loving it a lot.

Right, I'm off, George needs picking up from cadets soon.  Have a good evening :)

Sunday 24 June 2012

A sport-filled day today, the Grand Prix this afternoon, from Valencia, which was the most exciting race Valencia has ever had, and the football this evening :)  Hoping that England win, but fully prepared that they probably won't :)

Today's card showcases the fabulous Baker's Twine from the Summer Mini catalogue.  This new addition to the Stampin' Up! collection is amazing value for money and so versatile too, it is perfect for a bit of bunting :)
The Petite Pennants Builder Punch is perfect for creating bunting for cards and it is simple to attach it to the Bakers Twine so that it hangs like real bunting :)
Unfortunately the cloud stamp is not available at this time and the sentiment is from the hostess stamp set, Happiest Birthday Wishes, which is also great value for money :)

Please get in contact to place an order or to ask for more information, I look forward to hearing from you.

Saturday 23 June 2012

Well, yesterday I nearly got blown away at the Summer Fair, and spent the whole time making sure things didn't go shooting over the playground lol, but at least it didn't rain, so got to be grateful for little mercies ;)

Today's showcases are not cards, but little sweet containers made from a strip of card folded to fit a little bag of sweeties and decorated with dsp from the gorgeous Sweet Shop Speciality dsp in the Summer Mini.  The edge at the front was cut from one of the new edgelit dies, also from the Summer Mini:
I love the heart dsp (also from Sweet Shop) because it is also embossed, giving an added dimension to the paper and placed with the black card makes it stand out more :)
Unfortunately the sentiments are no longer available :(  But everything else is :)  Please feel free to contact me to place your order or for further information.  I look forward to hearing from you :)

Friday 22 June 2012

Well, today I am at a summer fete, which was postponed from last week because of the weather (its outdoors), but today its blowing a gale, so I have my fingers crossed that they will make the decision to put it indoors.  I don't fancy battling with keeping things on the table in this :O  Hoping for a good turn out too.  One of the cards I will be taking along is this one:

Its similar to the one that I showed you the other day.  I am liking the mini hearts embossed onto white card at the moment (does it show?!)  I thought I would give this one a love theme.
You don't need to wait til Valentine's Day to tell that special someone that you love them :)
I love the Heart to Heart punch, it is definitely a must-have in my card-making and co-ordinates well with the I (Heart) Hearts stamp set too.

Well, wish me luck with this afternoon, I think I may need it :)

Speak soon and looking forward to hearing from you about hosting that workshop...

Wednesday 20 June 2012

I'm not sure if I have mentioned it before, but I have started up an Etsy page to sell my cards and fabric items on.  Please pop over and have a look and favourite my shop if you like it *smiles sweetly*  The latest addition over there is this card I made today:

I am loving the colour combination on this card and the simplicity of it.  The design was inspired by a card that we made at training at Sarah-Jane's recently using the heart Textured Impressions Folder, which I love, and the Baker's Twine, which is fab and so reasonably priced too :) (both of which can be found in the Summer Mini Catty)
and I couldn't resist using one of my favourite embosslits dies, Beautiful Wings too.
To take advantage of the yummy things that Stampin' Up! have on offer right now, between now and the end of June all customer orders I place will have a flat rate of £1.50 postage, or free if you come and collect it from me.  Remember also that until the end of June, when you order three packs of selected design series paper, you get one free too, so such a fab time to get thumbing through the main and mini catalogues and place an order with me :)
