I have been reacquainting myself with the sewing machine recently.  I cleared my work space finally as it was getting rather cluttered, again, lol  My grandmother had given me a pack of charm squares and they had been sitting for months calling me to make a quilt out of them and so I did at the weekend and here is the result:
I backed the quilt in a gorgeous dark pink fleece fabric, in readiness for the autumn and winter months ahead.
The quilt is available for sale, pop along to my facebook page for further information or feel free to message me :)

Had a lovely day yesterday with my SU mummy and grannie :D and got to play with some fab products from the new catty that's coming out in a couple of weeks time.  I am so excited about it and can't wait til you can all see the yummy things that are in it.

For this card, I used one of the new embossing folders, Woodgrain, which I love already :) and the apples are from a new autumn themed stamp set, Perfectly Preserved.
Here is a close up of the detail, a gorgeous metal button and of course finished with a bit of ribbon threaded through the holes of the button and knotted.
Keep your eyes peeled for the beginning of September, I will post a link to the catty for you all to see the lovely things inside :)

Wow!  What a busy day, early start this morning to get everything ready for market and for George to go off to cadet annual camp.  He had to be at detachment at 10am and I had to be at market by 8.30am.  Luckily his detachment is only a ten minute walk from my stall, so I wasn't to be away for very long.   So, now I am slowly adjusting to the fact that I am boy-less for just over a week!  What to do?  What to do?

Anyway, I haven't had much time for card-making the past few days, so instead of just not blogging again for aaaaggggeeesss, I thought I would show you my creations that I finished off while at market today:
I call them the Owl and the Pussycats, because, well, they are an owl and two pussycats :D  I am grateful to Stampin' Up! for their gorgeous button collections as they came in very useful for the eyes of my lovely creatures.  Here is a close up of my favourite, the owl:
I think he looks very wise and the orange buttons give him the large wide eyed look that an owl has beautifully :)

So, with all my free time, I should be able to fit in a bit of card-making.  I need to get the cards designed for this month's stampin' club, so shall crack on with that in the next few days and get the days and makes posted by the end of the week.

Right, I'm off to watch some more of these fab Olympics, and will check in again soon :)

Helloooo, its been a while, hasn't it  Last week was suddenly summer time, so was too nice to stay indoors.  Plus I have been busy completing orders on the sewing side, so the card making got a bit neglected :(  But no matter, I am back again today with a card for you to look at:

Today is the last day you will be able to order Everyday Enchantment dsp *sniff*, that is if there is still any in stock though :D and the last day you will be able to get the lovely brad and ribbon pack.
As you can see, I have used one of the lovely brads on this card to accentuate the bird cage.  I love the Aviary stamp set still, I don't use it often enough.
Please message me by 9 tonight to get your order in and keep your eyes peeled tomorrow for another stunning offer from Stampin' Up!

Evening, another quickie post, been out of action for much of the past two days, had the most horrendous sinus headache that would not go, so spent a lot of time in bed, apart from yesterday afternoon when we took the children to the park, and I discovered that boys are never too old to paddle in the paddling pool :)
And then today we were back to rain and dark clouds again :(  Just as well, as I was feeling under par.  Today's card is another simple one, 10cm by 10cm, showcasing the lovely Attic Boutique DSP again:
and a Teeny Tiny Wishes sentiment to finish:
Have a good evening everyone and speak to you soon xxx

What a busy day today!  We had an early start this morning as the torch was due to pass near us just after 8am and what a spectacle it was :)  Lots of policemen on their motorbikes whooping up the crowd, three advertising trucks, and finally the torch bearer jogged past us. Even George agreed it was worth the early wake up call :)
Then it was a mad dash back to load up the car for the craft market, got there on time, thankfully, was worried that the torch relay would impact on traffic, but as it was so early in the morning, there weren't many cars on the road anyway.  The craft fair went quite well, its the first time I had tried this one and I liked it so will hopefully be doing it agan when its next on.

Today's card is a 10cm by 10cm one again and I used paper from Attic Boutique again.  I like this paper, it is bright and bold, two of my favourite words :)
I love the vintage feel and the colours and how they correspond with the in-colours.
This week I will be planning the cards for this month's club, on 21st, 23rd and 24th July, from 10am to 12pm.  More info is on my Stampers Club tab up there ^^^ or please feel free to message me to book your spot, I look forward to hearing from you :)

Its torch relay day in Bournemouth today, it is staying the night too.  There's going to be an event on the beach tonight but we won't be going, kind of glad that we're not with the soggy weather :)  Tomorrow the torch is heading out again at 8am-ish and will coming past the end of our road, so we'll be popping down to have a look.  Quite looking forward to it, certainly a once in a lifetime event I think so worth the early start.  If I manage to get a good photo, I will post it tomorrow :)

Back to Everyday Enchantment dsp today, this paper goes so well with the in-colour card and inks, it is easy to colour co-ordinate :)  I chose to use Calypso Coral for this card for the backing card and the stamp.  I love the in-colours, they are bright and versatile.
The stamp is from Vintage Vogue and for an extra flourish I used the lovely organdy ribbon that is in the Everyday Enchantment brad and ribbon pack that you can get for FREE when you spend over £45 on your order (see sticky post above for more details).
Most of the cards I showcase here are available for sale on my Etsy page (there is a tab up there ^^^ that takes you to it), plus other items too :)

Right, must get ready now to take Aunty Marg to John Lewis, speak to you all soon.

Today had so much promise, the sun was out when I got up this morning, George was up early for a change, then before we knew it, it clouded over and started raining again :(  I don't think we are going to have a summer this year, its July already and the last warm sunny day was back in March, far too long ago.  So, instead of going out, I am sat here, sorting out my stock and watching 90210 for a bit of lighthearted relief and sunshine tv :)
On to today's card, it is another smaller card, 10cm by 10cm and I used another design from the Attic Boutique dsp for it, and used Melon Mambo card and Scallop Dots Ribbon to pull out the pink of the roses on the dsp.
I hope you are all having a lovely day with beautiful weather, wherever you are and I'll speak to you soon.

Just me and the cats up this morning, Louis let me sleep in til 5am this morning and then woke me up.  Thankfully I managed to settle him down and got back to sleep again.  Its like having a baby a lot of the time having cats, well, Louis anyway.  He is certainly a high maintenance puddah :D  The sun has made an appearance this morning, had almost forgotten what it looked like with all the rain we've been having recently.
I chose this card to show you today because it looks summery and I am hoping to tempt the sun to stay out for a bit longer :)  The dsp is from the Twitterpated series which can be found in the Summer Mini.  I used Lucky Limeade for the colour to back the paper and used the corresponding ink pad for the stamped image:
The stamp is from the set, Vintage Vogue and I used the 'blossom' punch to punch it out and then inked the edges.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes:
Right, off I go, the boy has awoken and I have promised him a trip into town to get a few things.  Have a good day and speak to you soon :)

Spent the morning taking my great-aunt out for a spot of shopping and brunch.  Was late getting to hers though because I was engrossed in making a couple of cards (one of which is below)  Then this afternoon we popped down to Poole Quay for a bag of chips and a look at all the swanky boats over at the Sunseeker factory, which lead to a conversation about what we'd do if we won a ton of money, both my friend and I decided that the first thing we would buy is a house :)
So, on to today's card, its just a likkle one, 10cm by 10cm, but they do say that all good things come in small packages :)  I used Wisteria Wonder card for the border and the paper is from Attic Boutique dsp.
I used a stamp from the Mixed Bunch stamp set for the floral embellishment and used the 'blossom punch' to punch it out (so much easier than cutting round it, like I was doing before lol) and finished it off with a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.
Please message me if you would like to place an order, or if you have any queries, I look forward to hearing from you :)

A busy day for sports today, it is the Wimbledon Final and the British Grand Prix, and for a while they were both on at the same time, so I was sat here with the tennis on the computer and the F1 on the television.  To cap it all off, the tennis is now on a rain delay, so here I am fitting in a quick blog post :)

Apologies for the quality of the photos, I have a new phone and am trying to get to grips with how it works at the moment, so please bear with me :)
For this card I used a DSP from the Summer Mini catalogue, Attic Boutique.  I am finding it hard to chose which of the new DSPs I like the most, they are all pretty fabuolous :)  I used a framelits die to frame the piece of dsp:
I finished off with a sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set:
Tennis is back on now, so off I go to watch the rest of the match, fingers crossed that Murray wins, but not holding out much hope :(  Speak to you all soon and enjoy the rest of your day :)

Morning all, thought I'd do an early blog this morning, lots to do today, shopping for Aunty Marg and some quilting that needs to be finished so I can get the binding done, really want the quilt finished for next weekend.  Also got some cushion covers to do too, so quite busy at the moment.  Doesn't stop me fitting in making one or two cards though :)
This card uses Everyday Enchantment DSP for the flower (punched using the new 'blossom' punch which can be found in the Summer Mini and corresponds with the Mixed Bunch stamp set)
The middle of the flower comprises a stamp from the Mixed Bunch stamp set and a brad from the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad pack, I finished it off with a happy birthday sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

That's it from me, got to go get dressed and get on with the day :)  Have a good one and speak to you again soon :)
