Pink flower and black and white cat

Cold again today.  Only popped out to get a new tax disc and post a parcel as one of my old books sold on Amazon this morning :-)  No time spent making cards today :-(  Would get on with them this evening, but I have a big black and white cat come hot water bottle sitting on my lap and I am disinclined to disturb him :-D

I wanted to show you today a card that I made at another of Sarah-Jane's classes earlier this month, it was supposed to be a thank you card, but as I was going to a funeral the same week, I wanted to adapt it to be a sympathy card instead.  I love the dsp used for these cards, Paisley Petals is definitely a favourite of mine.  The colours worked really well together and the recipients liked the card.

I bought some fabric today, so am planning to finish some cushions tomorrow ready for sale at Boscombe Vintage Market on Saturday.  Hopefully I will have time to make some Valentine's cards too, will post them here tomorrow hopefully.

Speak to you soon

Baby, its cold outside

Brrrr, its very cold out there today!  Just dropped the boy off at army cadets and glad to be back in the warm again now :-)

As it is getting close to Valentine's Day, I am thinking about Valentine's cards to make and sell at Boscombe Vintage Market at the weekend.  The card below is one I made at Sarah-Jane's last workshop.  It is gorgeous.  The hearts are cut out from a paper that is available in the Spring Mini catalogue and I love it.

I still have some places free on my Stampers 6 club, if you are interested, please contact me for more information or to sign yourself up, only two weeks to go til it starts.  I look forward to hearing from you :-)

Right, that's all from me for now, speak to you soon.

Happy Chinese New Year!

Just a little one this evening, first time on the computer all day as we were in Southampton for the Chinese New Year celebrations today :-)

Enough time though to show you another card I made, this time using the Aviary stamp set:
Just a simple card , I like the colour combinations and my great-aunt was very pleased with receiving it :-)

Right, I am off to bed now, very tired and bleary eyed.  Catch you all tomorrow.

Oooh la la :-)

Hello there, another productive day here making cards.  Deviated a bit again and used some stickers that were a present from my lovely uncle Mike.  Here are the results:

I used papers from the DSPs of Paisley Petals and Well Worn as backgrounds for the stickers and think it works quite well :-)

Well, that's all for now, speak to you all soon.

Cats!

I have a love of fabric, as well as a love of cardmaking things.  Fabric was my first love :-)  I have stacks of it!  What I love to do is make cards using odd bits of fabric, so I thought today I would show you a few that I have been making this week.  I also love cats, so there may be recurring theme :-)  First of all, I would like to introduce you to one of my cats, Louis, who loves to come sit with me when I am working:

He does tend to have the habit of sticking himself right in the middle of what I am doing.  But at least when he does it, it gives me the excuse to go off and make a cuppa :-)

The first card I am going to show you is one from a fabric that I love, I use this fabric to make cushions and the piece I have left over I make into cards:

I simply cut the fabric out and glued it onto a piece of felt, then glued it to the card and stamped a sentiment onto it to finish it off.  Simple, but effective.

This next card is one of several I made using a piece of fabric that I have been looking at for a while wondering what to do with it, and in the end thought, well may as well cut it up and put it on cards :-)

For this card, I used dsp paper from Paisley Petals as a background to the fabric picture.

The next one I like a lot and it has now been sold too :-)

Again, the background is from Paisley Petals.  I am really liking the dsp a lot, it is a mixture of subtle and bold, depending on what mood I am in :-)

Right, that's it for me today.  I am planning a trip to the fabric shop which is a 60 mile round trip :-O  I am in need of some inspiration and a fabric fix :-D

Have a fab day and speak to you all soon!

Morning!

Popping in early today, lots to do, so little time :-D  I wanted to show you all another card I made, that I rather like, well, I like all of my cards, but still...  I love this paper, its from the dsp Frightful Sight and makes a great boy's birthday card :-)  The sentiment is from Happiest Birthday Wishes again.  I love this stamp, it is used quite a lot.

One of my creations to share:

Well, its been ages since I've posted any of my creations, so thought I would do that today.  I have been a busy bee getting stock together for upcoming markets after a stock take showed that cards have been quietly selling quite well and I hadn't many left.  The card below uses stamps from three different stamp sets, the stem is from For Everything, the flower is from the hostess gift set, Posy Punch, and the sentiment is also from a hostess set, Happiest Birthday Wishes.  I love the ribbons that Stampin' Up! have in their catalogue, they are such good value for money and good quality too.  I'm still using the stash that my lovely Stampin' Up! mummy gave me as a pressie for joining :-)

I'm really excited about Sale-A-Bration :-D because it means free gifts.  It is the perfect time to think about hosting a workshop because during S-A-B, along with the usual hostess benefits, if the workshop generates more than £300 in sales, you, the hostess, would also qualify for a free exclusive S-A-B product too.  Please contact me for further information about booking your workshop with me :-)

Fab News of new Stampers 6 Club!

Interested in having the hostess benefits without the hassle of hosting a workshop? Then this
is for you! I am going to be running a stampers 6 club, starting mid-February.

The way it works is that you commit to spending just £25 per month for 6 months from any
current UK catalogue and for one of those months (chosen at random at the beginning of the
club) YOU will be the virtual "hostess" and get the hostess benefits for that month.

So a great way of of buying a little of what you fancy from the new catalogue and receiving
a little perk too :-)
When you sign up, I will post out the paper copy to you. Please message me for further info

here :-)
