Post-Convention meet up

Just a quickie this evening, my eyes are not wanting to work, I'm so tired after a busy few days.  Today was a post-convention meet up at Sarah-Jane's and an opportunity for me to meet up with other demonstrators in my Stampin' Up! family.  We also got to see the swaps and ideas that Sarah-Jane brought back from the Stampin' Up! convention at Disneyland Paris last month.

I took a few photos of some of the swaps that I liked the most, for inspiration and here are a few of them:

I love this one, it looks so atmospheric and even though it looks simple, a lot of work has gone into it that belies its complicity.

Here is another one using the same stamp from the Forever Young stamp set.  I love the use of just the two colours making it stand out amongst all the others.

Well, that's all for now, dinner is ready and I am starving :-).  Please feel free to contact me to find out more about being a demonstrator and getting the opportunity to have meet ups like this with other demonstrators for help, hints and tips :-)

Last, but by no means last...

Friday again!  I'm looking forward to tomorrow to Sarah-Jane's post-convention meet up where we will get an opportunity to see what new things came out of the convention in Paris last month.  First of all, I need to get stock ready for a Christmas sale at a school Christmas Fair in Verwood this evening, fingers crossed it is a good turn out and I do well.

In the meantime, while I'm having a sit down and a well-deserved cuppa, I thought I would show you the last card from Monday's Stamp-a-Stack.  I love the stamps used on this one.  The Pear Pizzazz backing cardstock was stamped with the corresponding ink using the Woodgrain stamp.  I love the effect that this stamp gives, it almost makes the card appear to be textured.

The stamp used on the half Scallop Circle was from Polar Party again and was coloured in using a blender pen.

Right, off I go, back to Daydreaming and Sewing stuff now, speak to you all soon,

December Already? :-O

Heck, how did it become December already?  This year seems to have flown by!  Only 24 days til Christmas and I'm still nowhere near organised yet, need to get my skates on at some point I think, but as this is the busiest time for my businesses too, it makes it harder to find any spare time (especially now I am having fun playing with my new toy too)

The card I'm showcasing today was the first card I made on Monday morning at Sarah-Jane's Stamp-a-Stack class and it eased me in gently to the morning's work!  On this one I used the Something for Christmas stamp and Stampin Write Marker pens were used to achieve the different colours for the stamp.  It was stamped onto a piece of card cut out using the Top Note die for the Big Shot (did I mention that I got the Big Shot yesterday)?  Can't wait for it to arrive later on this week squeee).  The blue card was stamped with Jolly Jingles, using a jumbo roller and Versamark ink.

Here is a shot of the sentiment on the inside of the card.

I love being a demonstrator, there are so many benefits, not least the opportunity to get a discount on everything you order for yourself.  It is a fab way of sharing your love of stamping and cardmaking with others and making lots of new friends along the way. Please feel free to contact me for further info about how you too can start sharing your passion for cardmaking and stamping, and earn a little bit too along the way :-)

See you all tomorrow with the last of the cards I made on Monday :-)
