Helloooo, its been a while, hasn't it  Last week was suddenly summer time, so was too nice to stay indoors.  Plus I have been busy completing orders on the sewing side, so the card making got a bit neglected :(  But no matter, I am back again today with a card for you to look at:

Today is the last day you will be able to order Everyday Enchantment dsp *sniff*, that is if there is still any in stock though :D and the last day you will be able to get the lovely brad and ribbon pack.
As you can see, I have used one of the lovely brads on this card to accentuate the bird cage.  I love the Aviary stamp set still, I don't use it often enough.
Please message me by 9 tonight to get your order in and keep your eyes peeled tomorrow for another stunning offer from Stampin' Up!

Evening :)  Today I had the opportunity to tidy up my crafting supplies and sorted my card into colour families, so I can now tell you which colour card I have used for my cards :)  It was hard today to chose what to use first, so much to choose from :)  So I chose the Top Note die, which I have been coveting for a long while:
For a change I used the Color Coach to guide me as to which colours to use, I had a top note cut from Bravo Burgundy already (I showed George how the die worked).  The colour coach suggests using River Rock and Baja Breeze in combination, so that is what I did.  I stamped the owl from Aviary on the River Rock in Versamark to correspond with the owl in the cage on the top note cut out.
I love Aviary and don't use it as often as I would like to, the birds are so cute and I love the different cages too.
Boscombe Vintage Market is cancelled this month due to structural issues in the arcade that we use, so that is a shame, I do like doing that market.  The following weekend I am trying out a new market though, so all is not lost, and then the following weekend I am thinking of trying out Wimborne Market again on a Saturday to see what that is like.

Message me for further information on ordering from the catalogues, I can't recommend enough Stampin' Up's products, they are fab :)

Happy Chinese New Year!

Just a little one this evening, first time on the computer all day as we were in Southampton for the Chinese New Year celebrations today :-)

Enough time though to show you another card I made, this time using the Aviary stamp set:
Just a simple card , I like the colour combinations and my great-aunt was very pleased with receiving it :-)

Right, I am off to bed now, very tired and bleary eyed.  Catch you all tomorrow.

Good Morning!

Good morning!  I wanted to show you another card that I made on Saturday at Grannie's house:

For this one, I used Calypso Coral from the In Colours (although the picture is a bit misleading because its not as pink as that in real life), both for the card and for the stamp of the cage.  I wanted to play with the Versa Mark inkpad and I think it has worked well for stamping the birds from the Aviary stamp set on to the cardstock.  Finally, the paper I used can be found in the Well Worn DSP.

Aviary Class

Last week I went to my card class hosted by my Stampin' Up! mummy, Sarah-Jane.  This one was focussing on the yummy Aviary stamp set.

This one I love, but then I am a pink girl :-)  The colours work really well together and I love the DSP used, Flirtatious Speciality, it is gorgeous.

This one is lovely too, again it is showcasing the Flirtatious Speciality DSP.  One of the things on my wish list is the Big Shot and I think that the first thing I will buy for it will probably be this embossing one, Vintage Wallpaper, it is so pretty.

And the final one from last week's class.  The doily is from a big sheet of different patterned doilies that is also in the Flirtatious Speciality DSP (another thing to add to my wish list lol).

Why is waiting so hard to do?

Got notification this morning that my starter pack has been dispatched, so I have got the UPS tracking page open and am trying hard to not refresh the page every five minutes!  Apparently it left Brussels at 9.30 this morning, so I guess it could be anywhere between there and here right now.

While I am waiting, I thought I would post photos of a card I made with Sarah-Jane a while back using a stamp set that I have included in my starter pack.  The stamp set is called Aviary and I love it :-)

I'm going to have so much fun when my kit arrives in the next couple of days, I can hardly wait :-)
