We went to Hobbycraft today, I looked at the cardmaking things and George went off to look at the Airfix models and Hornby trains and we came out with an Airfix model for him and some wooden embellishments and a pack of envelopes for me. Today's make was a card for a friend's mother's 60th birthday:
I really like how it turned out, there is a photo in the middle, but I decided to cover it up before photographing it for my blog. Still using dsp from Paisley Petals lol, at some point I will run out of it and move onto something different :-D It is so versatile though and hard not to use for pretty much everything at the moment.
Nice relaxing day today, in the warm at Grannie's house :-) We popped to the Range after lunch to have a look around and I got some envelopes that were reduced by £3 - bargain! So the rest of the afternoon was spent making cards. I found some fabric with cute rabbits and chicks, so thought I would make some up in readiness for Easter. Here is my favourite from them:
I used paper from the Paisley Petals dsp again, really love the paper (can you tell ;-) ) I finished it off with some stickable gems and I love it.

Blimey, that was a cold one :-O The day didn't get off to a good start, the old girl refused to start because it was so cold, so I had to enlist the services of a lovely man and his van to jump start her. Then she wouldn't start again after I had dropped my stuff off, to get her to the car park, but luckily after a couple of go's, she spluttered into life :-) Even though we were under cover in the Royal Arcade, it was still blooming cold, couldn't feel my feet for a while :-( Never mind, I'm home now and warming up :-)
Anyway, here is today's card and it's another from Sarah-Jane's class in January.
This card showcases another paper from the dsp, Paisley Petals. This one also uses a stamp from the Four Frames stamp set too, and was cut out using the Decorative Label punch. I like the use of the butterfly stamp too, from the Creative Elements stamp set. Lots more things added to my ever growing wish list :-D I like that these thank you cards could be adapted to become birthday cards with ease.

Another busy day, well, busy drinking tea and laughing and talking to friends while the children played. Very good for the soul, I think! It's lovely to see children of all ages playing well together, no arguments or fallings out, a perfect afternoon all round :-)

Again it has dsp from Paisley Petals and I love the stamp that we used, from Four Frames, the bird is so cute :-) I love how it is so easy to co-ordinate stamps and papers and inks with Stampin' Up! products. Cold again today. Only popped out to get a new tax disc and post a parcel as one of my old books sold on Amazon this morning :-) No time spent making cards today :-( Would get on with them this evening, but I have a big black and white cat come hot water bottle sitting on my lap and I am disinclined to disturb him :-D
I wanted to show you today a card that I made at another of Sarah-Jane's classes earlier this month, it was supposed to be a thank you card, but as I was going to a funeral the same week, I wanted to adapt it to be a sympathy card instead. I love the dsp used for these cards, Paisley Petals is definitely a favourite of mine. The colours worked really well together and the recipients liked the card.
I bought some fabric today, so am planning to finish some cushions tomorrow ready for sale at Boscombe Vintage Market on Saturday. Hopefully I will have time to make some Valentine's cards too, will post them here tomorrow hopefully.

Hello there, another productive day here making cards. Deviated a bit again and used some stickers that were a present from my lovely uncle Mike. Here are the results:
I used papers from the DSPs of Paisley Petals and Well Worn as backgrounds for the stickers and think it works quite well :-)
